Trough smoke and radiation
Its total annihilation.
Forming a death battalion.
Living for the revolution.

Nice world war 2 soldier style.
Traditional gaz mask
Iron helmet
Is that an M1 garand? Or was it a german mauser K98
(All small details on the barrel end and the aim type)

Tip: Since the character is a little looking on the side maybe showing it on the front pocket and to get an oxygen bottle or backpack on the guy. Now that would be perfect. (Normandy beaches, it was actually there equipment that killed most of the soldiers. they drowned under there weight...)

Thank you for the educational and interesting comment. I take it you know your WW History? I'd like to know a lot more about it. I don't know which gun it is, but I gave the guy the helmet the english troops wore, so i'd say it was the M1, (or he coulda picked up a k98 off the ground) I love drawing WW1/2 era soldiers, but i'm afraid my knowledge about them is limited. Thank you for the tip though, definitely take it into account when inspiration strikes again.

One of those things that you just want to give life to... Combining magic tricks to the work for movie monsters... It would be incredible. Just to bad it wouldn't be the same as the real deal, at least for the dude making it all happen T_T

Your Anthropomorphism skills are incredible.
This Chimera is really exceptional!

Cracked from the cold? That's somewhat creepy.

Humans grows old
The world gets cold
This is a mould
That try's to hold

We live and forget
For this offset
We created shadows
Made in rock, rather shallow!

But ghost of the past
Passed, trashed, yet lasted
This building site outright
Cover's the sight, dark as night

...Not quite, Its a delight!
Having height and giving fright
We stand on the land
Yielding to no demands.

(Story of what I think for those who question the poem)
Fearing forgetting they built a statue. Yet it gazes upon there town and its shadow drowns the land. Rather ironic of a story! Bigger then real and always in there sight and mind, its the beginning of a beautiful night...(statue wins)

The death of a building is rather sinister... Its dangerous and its depressing to see what was meant to last, never passes. In the end they all fail the requirement and crumble back to dust. Yet we still see the hell we made for this building. We collect scratches and scars. And in the end we fall. The only difference is how far we go down at that point...

Good story and rather effective in scary atmosphere. That's a nice ambiance carried out. I tried a review worthy of your work yet, I stumble half way. When you lose the moment you can't force it back...

Hope we get more of these stories in the future!

A lot of people like it and I understand why... In a way it touches us and we know fairly well how it is. So many as regrets... This is why we sometime need to walk forward once in a while to prevent the road from being all covered up.

Its a weird way of explaining this, but I hope it can answer the few that feels that way and can't realise it. Art is somehow a reflection of the one who watches it.

The good part is you must be fairly happy Misledin since ''that people seem to like'' You can like it to, but you must feel less regret and maybe proud of it in a way.

...They are what we made of them. T_T
Robots were made from our image and ideals.
Screws, bolts, pipes and stem.
They shall never feel the dreams...

They have a mission
And a somewhat bulky hulk
Some kind of tradition
although no one ever hears them sulk...

But when you look the screen from afar
We think that in this bazar
We aren't so different
Yet we are in the end worse and indifferent

When did the child in us die?
The simplicity of mind going from comply to deny
What makes people tick in this gray sky?
A question that leaves me dry...

In the end, I see a sad and happy reality
No vitality, only a plain neutrality
He as the gift of the child's eye...
Always honest, naïf, and straight forward, but why?

Do we always cry? We can only pity.
And see is world as a fatality...

It pains me to see it. Knowing that this loyal ally could never foresee what's coming... He doesn't know solitude... Yet he's going understand it as time grows... Yes I said grow, since he will see that the world changes yet whit is immortal body he will stay there and can only watch. Even he can understand it, he will only be unable to react or even picture it...

Its a great image. You've kept the surroundings from taking to much forms to draw the entire attention on the message that can be interpreted. The black and white not only acts as a time and mood change for the steam punk style and touching image, it also makes the traits clearer. and in my opinion the place were you did the best play in shadows was the umbrella. Good choice if its intentional.

I would love to share my side of philosophy and keep going. As Descartes said: always look for sources, but what you know for sure, share it to keep it alive.*Something along those lines* But I feel that I cannot go further. Philosophy is thinking in search of answers. It cannot be said, one needs to do is own path to understand it. Think, debate ,search and start again from square one until you reach your truth... This is the only advise I can give.

That is true...

But when I look at this image, I think of a book I read recently called Oniria. A psychological story with a lot of horror considering the mentally deranged... The most important part of the story in my opinion was supposedly a painting were, people ran to an hill naked with insane faces and eyes trying to reach it! But as they ran, they never got any closer... They didn't even know why they ran and felt every emotions at once. I could continue talking about this, but it would spoil for those who would read and it would become to complex.

Still its weird how life makes us dance with those confusing beats... And above all you never know when your own beat will stop...

OR just a super large hologram of is face that laughs at a poor man who did the worst mistake of is life...

I actually think nuke 2, but since it is Yao Ming he deserve something different ;) At least my first interpretation could be said ''original''

Mhhh no ''HUNGRY'' monster. Really well done, but why is there some of the tooth's that looks like going under the jaw? Is it like if it covers the outside of the jaw and does spikes, or is it just unintentionally there?

Doesn't seems like there is a second mouth so its just that whit the angle and blood, it makes it weird...

Burning is said to be one of the most painful way of dying... They get there flesh all scorned up and it roast to the bone while they are still mentally there... Actually what killed the witches back then was the smoke and not the fire! Its extremely rare that people dies of pain and since the flesh becomes immobile and retract to the inside they can no longer move. Soooo yea fire is not a great way to die... It will scar you instead of actually killing you in most cases.

Witch hunts are bad. But going back to your picture, what I hate the most is the back ground. The problems appear when you see it as a whole. Its just SO BRIGTH! And whit all the effects done to colors, shading and the metal reflection as you say kind of ruins the visibility. I think its more because of the levels of colors that we can't truly appreciate it.

Good call! Heheh this brings back memories.

Memories of a ''dead'' forgotten past... ;)
